Philip Sanchez

Philip “Filo” Sanchez is an experienced Arizona trial attorney with a strong background in courtroom advocacy, litigation strategy, and client-centered representation. Licensed in Arizona and the Tohono O’odham Nation, Filo has handled matters across multiple practice areas, earning a reputation for thorough preparation, steady judgment, and practical problem-solving.

Filo served as Chief Prosecutor for the Tohono O’odham Nation, where he supervised a team of attorneys and staff, managed office operations, and led complex criminal prosecutions. In that leadership role, he developed litigation strategy, trained prosecutors, and worked closely with judicial and executive leadership. His time in prosecution shaped his disciplined approach to trial work and advocacy.

Filo has also represented clients in immigration court proceedings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR). He handled removal defense matters including asylum, withholding of removal, CAT protection, and cancellation of removal.

A Tucson native, Filo earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northern Arizona University, where he was a four-year letter winner and team captain for NAU Football. He received his Juris Doctor from Phoenix School of Law and has remained committed to serving the Southern Arizona community. Outside of work, Filo values time with his family, enjoys football and weightlifting, and follows Arizona sports closely.
